Material Girls is your leading shop in Warwickshire for fabrics, wool and gifts – plus, everything you’ll ever need for sewing. We just love vintage colours and patterns, which is why we stock top brand designers, like Amy Butler, Riley Blake, Tilda, Debbie Bliss and Rowan.

We’re situated just outside Stratford-upon-Avon, in Alcester (click for map), and we're open six days a week, Monday through Saturday. We're situated just off the High Street, and if you're driving, there’s easy, free parking, (just follow the signs for Waitrose).

More than just a place to find all the latest fabrics, wool or sewing materials, Material Girls is also home to the Yarn and Sewing Cafés. Regular knitting and sewing groups, where you can pick up and exchange skills - all over a lovely cup of tea. It’s a great way to meet others, whether you’re a beginner looking to get started, fancy hearing what others are up to, or just want to share your passion for colours and patterns and design. All are welcome, so why not get in touch.

We can also help if you need to hire machines or tables - at our upstairs space. A dedicated area perfect for working on projects if you need that little bit of extra space. Or want to get away from it all for a while. And the best thing is, we only charge by the hour.
